On Saturday, November 13, LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Reuben (First Lutheran - Yuba City, California) and his ministry team organized a special training event at Yuba County Superior Court for LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Aaron & Gomer (St. John’s - Napa, California), Rahab (St. Andrew - Stockton, California), Lois (First Good Shepherd - Las Vegas, Nevada), and Micah (Light of the Valley - Elk Grove, California) and their ministry teams.
The training focused on working with the District Attorney’s office and the Victims Advocate Department, learning how to assist in the courtroom. The handlers and dogs were able to simulate the courtroom experience.
The local Sea Cadet group also attended the session. Many thanks to Deputy District Attorney J.J. Stark-Modlin and Victim Advocate Olivia Kelly for joining the teams on their day off.
