Position Summary: The Hospitality & Office Coordinator creates a welcoming, Christ-centered experience for every person who visits or contacts Lutheran Church Charities. As the first point of contact for guests, donors, volunteers, churches, and ministry partners, this position coordinates the daily operations of the front office while providing exceptional hospitality and administrative support that helps create an efficient, inviting, and mission focused environment.

Office & Hospitality Operations
- Maintain reception, meeting, and hospitality spaces that are consistently guest-ready while ensuring the daily operations of the front office run smoothly and efficiently.
Administrative & Ministry Support
- Provide dependable administrative support that enables staff and ministry teams to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.
Organizational Support & Stewardship
- Steward office resources, administrative processes and organizational information with excellence, professionalism, and integrity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, hospitality, customer service, office coordination, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and courteously in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and the ability to learn new technology platforms.
- Experience with databases, CRM systems, or project management software is preferred.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional hospitality and customer service.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and assist with office, meeting, and ministry logistics as needed.
- Commitment to the mission, values, and Christian ministry of Lutheran Church Charities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a nonprofit, church, or ministry environment.
- Experience coordinating hospitality, events, or front office operations.
- Familiarity with Basecamp, Zoom, Constant Contact, Canva, or similar collaboration and communication tools.

Volunteer Apprentice Trainer
Become a Volunteer Apprentice Trainer with the Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry and help prepare a dog with a greater purpose—bringing comfort and hope to those in need.
As a volunteer, you’ll foster a puppy in training, support socialization and basic training, and attend weekly classes with LCC staff trainers. Many volunteers return year after year for the strong community, spiritual growth, and the joy of serving alongside these amazing dogs.
New training classes at Lutheran Church Charities headquarters – Northbrook, IL
LCC provides all food, supplies, and veterinary care.
Must be 18 or older
