![]() We are thrilled to share a note of gratitude received from a member of the St. Michael Lutheran Church congregation in Portage, Michigan, who had the opportunity to prepare and serve meals for our dedicated LCC LERT volunteers during their recent deployment in Michigan, where they provided crucial tornado response efforts. “Thank you so much for coming to our community in Portage to help with the tornado damage and to restore hope and love amongst the people. I am hearing so many people expressing their appreciation for the difference your teams have made and I want to pass these sentiments on to you. God’s blessings to everyone!” The kind words of appreciation serve as a reminder of the impact our volunteers make in communities during times of need. Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters who continue to make our relief efforts possible.
LCC received the following thank you note from a homeowner for work completed by LCC L.E.R.T. volunteers: Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ at Lutheran Church Charities, LCC received the following thank you letter from Village of Woodridge Mayor Gina Cunningham:
Dear Deac. Kathy: On behalf of our entire grateful community, our Woodridge Village Board, the Village of Woodridge and myself, we want to thank you all for your tremendous outpouring of help, kindness, and sacrifice that was shown to us on the fateful day of June 20, 2021. When our community was hit by the EF-3 Tornado, along with Naperville and Darien, without any hesitation, your organization reached out to help us, whether it was by sending employees or lending heavy machinery, providing donations, or sending us a caring note of support. All of this means so much to our community and there are truly not enough words to fully express our thanks. We cannot begin to tell you how very much we appreciate all of you and wanted thank you for coming to our aid when we needed it the most. Please accept this letter of gratitude and thanks from all of us - our entire grateful community. Your kindness will be felt for generations to come within the Woodridge community. Our Heartfelt Gratitude, VILLAGE OF WOODRIDGE Gina Cunningham Mayor A Tree City USA Community since 1992 |
