Your donations make the difference between life and death for many of our Haitian brothers and sisters Thanks to your donations, Lutheran Church Charities continues to send emergency relief funds to Haiti - the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere - towards critical items through our Haiti Mission Partners. LCC received a request from Jackie Rychel, Ministry in Mission, for financial assistance to feed, clothe, and care for the the elderly at Jacmel Lutheran Home.
In 2019, Ministry in Mission started to populate the eldercare home. We scoured the porches, alleys and corners of small dwellings to find those in most need of care. Those we found were near death, unable to care for themselves or had no family to care for them. These beautiful souls came willingly, without fear as we transported them in the back of a pick-up truck to a luxurious place the likes of which they had never seen. Even though they were on the brink of death, only two have passed on to sit at the right hand of God. Ministry in Mission needs financial assistance to feed, clothe, and care for these beautiful people. Medical care, and a several caregivers staff the Jacmel Lutheran Home around the clock. It is also the responsibility of Ministry in Mission to provide a proper burial for the residents. All this expense comes from donations and grants. Please consider a donation. Jackie Rychel, Ministry in Mission Please pray for LCC Haiti Mission partners to show the Mercy, Compassion, Presence and Proclamation of Jesus Christ to those suffering and in need. If you are so moved, please donate generously to help LCC provide food and other necessary items for the most vulnerable Haitians. Comments are closed.
