All year long, whatever need we put in front of you to help others, your donation went to those it was intended to help. It is truly pass-through, dollar-per-dollar, for what you, the donor, intended. NOTHING is taken out for our administrative costs.

Because of your generous support, the Immanuel Hillside, Illinois, Put Your Hands Together (PYHT) Food Ministry has been blessed to serve many underserved community members and other food pantries and soup kitchens this year, far exceeding what they ever believed they would.

Pastor Cesar Sifuentes of St. Matthew, Chicago, Illinois, is grateful for your donations to the Comedor San Mateo Soup Kitchen providing hot meals to the homeless and all those in need throughout his community. The soup kitchen serves 200+ meals twice a week.

LCC was able to send your donations to Illinois National Guardsman Lt. Fahim Masoud to help him as he provides for his family who escaped from Afghanistan.

Your support has been a tremendous blessing to Fahim and his family as they adjust to their new life in the United States.

Your Donations Help Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Miami, Florida, Assist Two Families in Need

LCC received the following note form Pastor Dennis Bartels, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, North Miami, Florida:

Once again, the Hand of God was experienced through the love of LCC. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to help two families in need.

One gift went to help a mother and her two children who were living in a shelter for the abused, and have now been relocated to a safer place where she and her children will experience a new beginning.

We also helped a second family whose firstborn daughter is 6 months old, has a very rare and incurable disease in which tumors grow rapidly, and she is experiencing seizures. The insurance company refuses to pay for the medication needed. We were able to pay for her medication which is costing more than $800 a month. Her parents work for the Humane Society and love the comfort dogs.

Thank you again for being the hands, eyes and feet of Jesus touching so many lives.

Your Donations Help St. Peter, Schaumburg, Illinois, Assist Two Families in Need

LCC staff members Nikki Deacon and Dianna Bonfield delivered your donations to Pastor Greg Hintz of St. Peter, Schaumburg, Illinois.

Your donations support the Hintz family adoption fund and provide housing assistance for a family of five after their father’s battle with COVID-19 and lung transplant.

The families are incredibly grateful for the support that they have received.

Your Donations Help Salam Christian Fellowship, Lombard, Illinois, Minister to Refugees in Need

Pastor Hesham Shehab of Salam Christian Fellowship in Lombard, Illinois, is grateful for your generous support of his ministry to the refugees.

Your donations provided the financial support needed to help a disabled woman with rent and car repairs for an Afghan refugee. Both needs have been met!

Your generous donations also help Salam assist the refugees in providing the medications they need and purchasing bilingual Bibles for the ministry to use as they share Jesus with new refugees.

Your Donations Help Provide Food for Students During Christmas Break

Your generous donations were sent to Haiti to provide food for the students during their Christmas break. We received the following email from Lophane Laurent:

Good Day and God’s Blessing,

I want you to know how happy the kids and parents were on receiving the food kits. It was a special Christmas gift for them. They told me this year they didn’t expect anything because there is trouble not only in Haiti but it’s everywhere in the world. But when I told them I could feed the kids and they said "yes," God hears our prayers. You can imagine what impact each kit makes in each family who receives it.

Please never stop thanking our sponsors and donors for us. And thanks to all of the members of LCC. In the name of the students, their parents and especially in my family name, I wish you a Merry Christmas with Jesus Christ.

LCC Thanks Zion Lutheran Church, Hinsdale, Illinois, for a Donation of Seventy-Four Quilts

LCC was honored to receive 74 beautifully hand-crafted quilts from the skilled quilters from Zion Lutheran Church, Hinsdale, Illinois. The quilts were delivered by Zion member Arnie Berg and received by LCC staff member Wayne Kolweier, and will be distributed through the LCC K-9 Comfort Dog and Human Care ministries visits.

The quilters are: Lois Flood, Pat Naas, Jean Albert, Jan McMahon, Laura Shrader, and Jo Murphy.

Three quilters have passed since they completed the quilts: Eileen Madden, Carmella Miller, and Jackie Losenza. We are thankful for each of their lives and know that through the donations of their quilts, their lives will continue to make a difference.
