$50 a year can provide a small shelter for individuals or families to live.

The elderly lady in the wheelchair lost her leg due to an infection and relies on neighbors to help. She also is in need of housing.

The little boy is waiting for his mother to get back with food. He is standing in front of an empty house where he used to live. His mother could not afford the $50 a year rent so she and her 4-year-old boy are homeless.

People are struggling to feed their families in Haiti. 1 in 3 people need urgent food aid! For $40, you can help feed a family of four for two weeks!

"Gratitude by those we serve in Jacmel, Haiti! We purchased bulk rice and beans, sugar, macaroni, and oil, portioned it to smaller amounts and delivered the food to members of the Jacmel Lutheran Church who are in extreme need. Beds for the elderly
 
Most people in rural Haiti, and many in cities sleep on the floor which may be dirt or cement. An actual bed changes their quality of life immeasurably. A metal bed frame, mattress, and bedding cost $400.

Motorcycles

Because of the terrible condition of the roads, motorcycles are the most efficient means of transportation for pastors to minister to their members and spread the Gospel throughout Haiti. A new motorcycle costs $1,500.

Shoes for Children
 
Many Haitian children walk barefoot and need shoes to protect them from disease. Shoes can be purchased in Haiti for $20 per pair.

Goat cooperatives and agriculture

Field Director Lophane Laurent is working with farmers and gardeners, and developing goat cooperatives in villages so people can feed themselves. Goats cost $75. Goat pens for 20 goats are $1,000. Farming tools vary in cost from $20-$50.
