LCC received the following update from Pastor Doug Warmann of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle, Illinois, on the young widowed mom of six children that the congregation has been assisting. ![]() Dear Christian friends: God is so good! We asked for your prayers as the widowed mother of five children gave birth to her sixth child. Although the mother initially had some health concerns herself, she did well with the delivery of her child and had a healthy baby boy in March. The other five kids have warmly welcomed their new baby brother and are adjusting to his presence in their home. He is a happy baby and growing up very quickly. We look forward to his baptism in July. Thank you for your generous support for her family as their family finances continue to be a challenge! The mother has been on maternity leave from work but will need to return soon. She has applied for social security assistance but is waiting to receive benefits for her children. God has brought many wonderful people to help her through this time, including a nanny who comes in the morning several days each week to provide assistance with her children. Please pray that the nanny will be able to continue with the family for the long term. While most of the children have been healthy, the oldest boy has had tests and gone into the hospital several times for a medical issue that may eventually require surgery. The mother is also trying to find a van or SUV that will make it easier to transport the children and remains on the lookout for a new home to accommodate her new addition. Your prayers and financial support have been a tremendous encouragement to this young family! Thank you so much for your generosity! As the Lord leads, we invite your continued prayers and support for them. Pastor Doug Warmann, Trinity Lutheran Church, Roselle, Illinois Comments are closed.
