On Saturday, May 4, the LERT team from Trinity – Roselle, Illinois, along with Trinity members, hosted a Community Care Day. About 60 people went out into the community and served at homes and community agencies in various ways. They trimmed trees, cleaned attics, did yard work, performed simple home maintenance, and more. In all, they served about 25 different families and organizations. The volunteers ranged from 8 to 80. Others supported this effort by baking cookies, collecting and bagging food for the Bloomingdale Food Pantry, making calls, and assessing the projects prior to the work day. All enjoyed being the hands and feet of Jesus to the community.
