LCC K-9 Ministry comforts students and faculty returning to classe
On Saturday, August 25, an Indiana family was having a sleepover for their daughter and one of the cars stalled. Her friends came outside to help push the car back to the home when they were hit from behind by another vehicle. Eight students were hit and four of them have died.
The LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs were invited by counselors to be with students and faculty at Brownstown Central High School in Brownstown, Indiana, on Monday, August 27. The new academic year had only been in session three weeks. Two of the four students attended Brownstown. LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Barnabas (Trinity – Hobart, Indiana), Bethany (Trinity – Danville, Illinois), and Naomi (Holy Cross – Indianapolis, Indiana) and their handlers were present to help students and faculty cope with the tragic loss of their fellow students.
Please continue to pray for the friends and family of those who were killed and injured. LCC will continue to be available for the students, families, and staff at the schools.
