Help LCC Pay 49 Haitian Teachers Who Depend On Donations to Feed Their Families The people in the picture are either Pastors or principals from each of the schools Haitian Lutheran Mission Project supports. Most of the teachers are only making $100 for three months of teaching. With help from LCC donors, Haitian Lutheran Mission Project hopes to be able to increase their pay to $150 each quarter for the next school year as they cannot get by on what they now earn. Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) continues to work through our Haiti Mission Partners to send emergency funds to Haiti during the current pandemic crisis.
LCC was contacted by Susan Gross from Haitian Lutheran Mission Project (HLMP) to help raise funds to increase the teachers' salaries in Haiti. "I want to thank those of you who continue to help the HLMP pay the 49 teachers who depend on us to feed their families. We do have to remember that God is still in control and he will not abandon those who are faithful," shares Susan. Susan received the below email from our friend Lophane who made the trip to Jeremie to pay the teachers for their last three months of teaching. "Blessings to you my sister. I am just home after my trip to Jeremie. All the principals say thank you for this miracle, because the teachers were really in need. Everything is very expensive. Thanks a lot in their name. Please thank everyone who helped to pay the teachers. Have a great day sister and may God bless you and your family. Stay safe and healthy and strong." Lophane Please prayerfully consider making a monetary donation to enable Lutheran Church Charities to provide funds for teachers' salaries in Haiti so that they are able to feed their families.
