On Thursday, May 3, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lombard, Illinois, held prayer services for the National Day of Prayer. The service also included prayers for eight students who were severely burned at a bonfire the weekend before. Pastor Dan Wegrzyn led the prayer service and Pastor Pete Imlah gave a message based on Psalm 23. Pastor Pete has been with the families and students giving them comfort.
LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Eve (St. John – Lombard, Illinois), Ruthie (LCC Staff), Emma (LCC Staff), Susie (St. Peter – Arlington Heights, Illinois), Tobias (Lord of Glory – Grayslake, Illinois), Angel (St. John’s – La Grange, Illinois), and Charity (Comfort Dog in Training) attended the event to be with the 250 people, mostly students, who attended the prayer service.
