Peace Lutheran Church – Columbus, Nebraska (in process) is sharing the mercy, compassion, presence and proclamation of Jesus Christ by reaching out to the law enforcement officials and first responders of Columbus.
On Wednesday, June 30, they took pizza, dessert, and drinks into their local city police department, and the city and county call center. While there they explained their upcoming LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry to the police chief and several of his officers. The chief expressed interest with the team to potentially work with their police staff chaplain. They also plan to reach out to their county sheriff department and city fire department in the near future.
