On Friday, September 30, Pastor Walter Ramirez from Tabor Lutheran Church in Chicago, Illinois, stopped by LCC headquarters to pick up hand and bath towels for four Columbian families that Tabor is assisting.
On Saturday, October 1, Pastor Ramirez received seven boxes of bagels and eight pounds of cookies and other baked goods to hand out to families Tabor is ministering to and to use as refreshments following Hispanic worship services at the church.
Pastor Walter Ramirez was called in June to develop a Hispanic Ministry at Tabor. After a month and a half of visiting the community and meeting people, Tabor began its first Spanish worship service with 32 people in attendance three weeks ago. Tabor also reaches out and serves anyone in the community who is in need through their clothing closet, congregational food pantry, and helping people to find furniture for their empty apartments
Please continue to pray for Pastor Phillip Robarge, the staff at Tabor, and Pastor Ramirez as the church reaches out to the community sharing the mercy, compassion, presence and proclamation of Jesus Christ to those that are suffering and in need.
