Passing of the Vest for LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Caleb at Immanuel – Valparaiso, Indiana and Rachel at Immanuel – Charleston, Illinois

On Sunday, December 2, ten LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs were on hand to welcome LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Caleb and the team from Immanuel Lutheran in Valparaiso, Indiana, into the LCC K-9 Ministry. Caleb Comfort Dog’s Bible verse is Romans 15:13, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Barnabas (Trinity – Hobart, Indiana), Eve (St. John’s – Lombard, Illinois), Jude (St. Peter’s – Three Rivers, Michigan), Malachi (St. Matthew – Hawthorne Woods, Illinois), Mercy (Our Savior – Louisville, Kentucky), Susie (St. Peter – Arlington Heights, Illinois), Tobias (Lord of Glory – Grayslake, Illinois), Hannah and Jacob (LCC Staff), and Myra Comfort Dog in Training, and their handlers were present.

Also on Sunday, LCC placed LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Rachel at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charleston, Illinois. Rachel Comfort Dog’s Bible verse is Exodus 14:14, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Seven LCC K-9 Ministry affiliates were on hand to welcome Rachel Comfort Dog and her new team into the LCC K-9 Ministry: LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Bethany (Trinity – Danville, Illinois), Dinah (Trinity – Auburn, Illinois), Jessy (St. Paul – Concordia, Missouri), Mahlah (Our Savior – Milford, Illinois), Naomi (Holy Cross – Indianapolis, Indiana), Noah (Timothy – St. Louis, Missouri), and Patience (Immanuel – St. Charles, Missouri).
