St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, home of LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Gideon, requested two Hearts of Mercy & Compassion to serve the family and friends of Mike after his sudden and tragic death. Mike was a long-time church friend and beloved girls' hockey team coach.
One heart was placed at the counselor’s office at Jefferson High School for the girls' team to sign, and the other was placed at St. Michael's church for the congregation to sign. “The signing of the hearts by the students was helpful and healing, and they were eager to leave their notes,” said the school counselor.
Both hearts were on display at the visitation attended by 600-800 people, and Mike’s mother was deeply touched by the hearts. Our prayers are with the friends and family of Mike, including his wife and teenage daughters.
