St. Peter’s in Hampshire, Illinois, held the first of their six Community Work Days for 2018. They served at a farm about 5 miles from the church that had some large trees come down during a storm last summer and a fenced row of trees around the property that were overgrown. Available chainsaw team members and draggers used their talents to share God's love with this family.
One of the LERT team members, Ryan Anthenat, cuts a cross out of one of the fallen trees. This has become a popular calling card for the St. Peter’s LERT team. The owner told all several times that this cross, "Made his day!” What a difference and impact this made on showing this family the mercy, compassion, presence and proclamation of Jesus Christ.
