LCC Welcomes Redeemer, Fort Collins, Colorado, Second Team to the K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry

In early October, Redeemer, Fort Collins, Colorado, LCC K-9 Ministry team attended handler training and met their LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Devorah. Since that time, the team has actively trained and built a relationship with Devorah Comfort Dog. LCC is pleased to announce that the Redeemer Fort Collins team has successfully completed the placement process.

LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Devorah will serve along with LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Cubby as Redeemer Lutheran Church’s bridge to show the Mercy, Compassion, Presence and Proclamation of Jesus Christ to those who are suffering and in need. Devorah Comfort Dog's Bible verse is Isaiah 43:2: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."
 
The LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry is one of presence. When the Lord calls, we must go and serve Him. Isaiah 6:8 tells us, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’" The Redeemer team has heard the call and has said "Here am I. Send me."
 
The following new LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry handlers for the second team have heard the call: Top Dog Jody Lockwood, Michelle Brinnon, Steve Dornan, Kim Dornan, Carol Kriewald, Tom Peterson, Monica Ramsel, Norman Ramsel, and Jane Sutton
 
LCC is honored to include the following veteran handler to the LCC Kare 9 Military Ministry: Norman Ramsel - U.S. Army (1970)
 
LCC is honored to include the following law enforcement handler to the LCC K-9 Police Ministry: Steve Dornan - Officer, San Diego (CA) Unified Police Department (2004 -2007)
 
God is with them as they begin this new journey as part of the LCC K-9 Ministry. Please pray for God’s guidance for this new team as they go out to share the Mercy, Compassion, Presence and Proclamation of Jesus Christ to those that are suffering and need.
