On Friday June 29 and Saturday June 30, the Indiana District of the Lutheran Women Missionary League (LWML) gathered at Valparaiso University for their annual conference.
President/CEO of LCC Tim Hetzner spoke on Saturday afternoon on the topic of how one may "Walk in the Light of the Lord." He shared with the audience about the many ministries that LCC is involved in, including Haiti, LERT, and the K-9 Ministries. Many of the women commented on how impressed they were of LCC’s national and international outreach in showing the Mercy, Compassion, Presence, and Proclamation of Jesus Christ to so many people around the world.
Those in attendance were also very happy to meet LCC Kare 9 Military Ministry Brutus, with veterans Gene and Jim. There were also LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs in attendance, with K-9s Barnabas (Trinity – Hobart Indiana), Isaiah (Trinity – Hobart, Indiana), Naomi (Holy Cross – Indianapolis, Indiana), as well as Comfort Dogs in Training Triton and Myra.
