LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Bring Smiles to Kids During United Airlines Fantasy Flight to the North Pole

On Saturday, December 2, the LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs joined dozens of volunteers from United Airlines, Cal’s Angels, Benny the Bull, and others to bring smiles to kids fighting cancer and their families at the United Airlines Fantasy Flight.
 
LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Ruthie (LCC Staff), Tobias (Lord of Glory – Grayslake, Illinois), Esther (Holy Cross – Collinsville, Illinois), Levi (Immanuel – East Dundee, Illinois), Tabby (St. Paul’s – Des Peres, Missouri), Rhoda (Prince of Peace – Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin), Mahlah (Our Savior – Milford, Illinois), Gideon (St. Michael's - Bloomington, Minnesota) and LCC Kare 9 Military Ministry Dogs Brutus (Squad) and Dinah (Trinity – Auburn, Illinois) joined Santa and Mrs. Claus in welcoming the children and their families. Then, they all boarded a plane bound for the North Pole, took off, and when they returned they were met by Chicago Fire Department water cannons cascading streams of water over their plane.

Upon exiting the plane, they were greeted by Santa and Mrs. Claus, wooden soldiers, sugar plum fairies, super heroes, and the LCC K-9 Ministry teams. Each family had pictures taken with the LCC K-9s, and the children met with, petted and talked to the dogs. It was a heartwarming event that was enjoyed by all.
