LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Aaron and his handlers (St. John’s – Napa, California) responded to requests for visits from friends and co-workers of the three victims. On Sunday afternoon, March 11, Aaron Comfort Dog comforted employees and the veteran residents of Pathway Home program. On Monday, he joined a meeting for employees of the Napa Valley College Counseling Department, where one of the victims worked three days a week assisting veterans enrolled in courses at the college.
Other ministry opportunities over the next few weeks will include visits with Victims Services of Napa County, who have been tirelessly working with and supporting the victims’ families since the tragedy began Friday morning. LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Aaron and Reuben (First Lutheran – Yuba City, California) will also provide support at the memorial service next Monday evening at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater on the campus of the Veterans Home. Please join Lutheran Church Charities and LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Aaron and his handlers in continuing to pray for the many individuals who have been impacted in the small, close knit Napa Valley Community and for the Pathway Home employees and veterans.
