On Wednesday, April 8, LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Ezra (LCC Staff) & Anna (Trinity - Toledo, Ohio) and their handlers virtually visited with a new friend. They shared some love and comfort with Izzy, a very bright, energetic third grader. Her grandmother, who is her caregiver during the day, set up the visit. Izzy’s mother sat in for a little while as well since she is working from home now. Izzy was very excited to see the comfort dogs on the screen!
"Izzy was very talkative and told us about her school, and that she misses her friends. Her favorite subject is science, especially about plants and animals. She talked about doing something with animals when she grows up. She also shared that she enjoys riding horses and swimming. She showed us her pet kitty, Aggie. (Although she loves dogs, too!)
It was a pleasure to visit with Izzy and make her day a little brighter. I think our visit was a blessing to all of us! I hope we can arrange a "real" visit someday."
The team concluded their visit by praying with Izzy.
