On Saturday, December 9, LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs, Santa and Mrs. Claus, elves, princesses, super heroes, and many other volunteers greeted seriously ill kids and children with disabilities, and their families, at the North Pole. There were games, activities, face painting, toys, gifts, and stockings for each of the children and their siblings (over 50 in all). Christmas music included musicians (harp, violins) and Christmas carolers. Danimal the clown created amazing balloon critters (e.g., reindeer, snowmen) and designs (e.g., candy canes, wreaths). The decorations were beautiful, and all the children and families had a wonderful time. Many of the children and their families came to visit LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Anna (Trinity – Toledo, Ohio), and Barnabas and Isaiah (Trinity – Hobart, Indiana), as well as the United staff and volunteers. It was truly a memorable experience for everyone!
