![]() "..and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.." 1 Peter 3:21 Praise the Lord! Zayd became God’s child through baptism this past Sunday, June 10, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Chicago, Illinois. Pastor John Brazeal thanks everyone for the prayers and assistance they have been giving Grandma Kenny and Zayd. Thank you for making it possible for him to stay at Christ the King where he learns about Jesus his Savior and how to be a disciple of Christ. After the service, Zayd said, “Please thank Jacob Comfort Dog and show him that I made it into God’s family.” After being abandoned by his mentally ill mother, third grader Zayd was placed in the care of his 80 year old great grandmother. Along with Christ the King, LCC has helped to raise money to assist her with tuition and school supplies, and the cost of raising a child to pay for food, clothing, medical care, and keeping Zayd in the nurturing Christian School at Christ the King. Zayd is very excited about becoming part of God's family and so are we. Through Principal Geri Brazeal, Zayd sent the following message to Tim Hetzner, LCC President / CEO: “When I get older, I will help you with all the jobs at Lutheran Church Charities and I want you to train me to have a Comfort Dog to help other people."
