Our nation, and especially the people of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, suffered the loss of another police officer. Officer Charles Irvine Jr. of the Milwaukee Police Department was killed in a crash during a high-speed pursuit. Officer Irvine’s End of Watch (EOW) was June 7, 2018.
On June 11, LCC K-9 Police Ministry Dogs Dora (LHSA of Greater Milwaukee), and Charity (Brookfield Lutheran - Brookfield, Wisconsin) attended a candlelight vigil for Officer Irvine, along with their law enforcement handlers. The vigil was held at the scene of the crash.
On June 13, Police Ministry Dog Charity and her law enforcement handler also visited the memorial squad car outside District Four Police Headquarters, where Officer Irvine had been assigned.
We are thankful for these opportunities to offer peace and comfort in the name of the Lord to all who mourn the loss of this dedicated public servant.
LCC asks that you please remember all law enforcement personnel in your prayers.
