LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Bring Smiles to Kids During United Airlines Fantasy Flight to the North Pole12/5/2017
Upon exiting the plane, they were greeted by Santa and Mrs. Claus, wooden soldiers, sugar plum fairies, super heroes, and the LCC K-9 Ministry teams. Each family had pictures taken with the LCC K-9s, and the children met with, petted and talked to the dogs. It was a heartwarming event that was enjoyed by all.
Thank you to United Airlines, and all of their employees who volunteered at the Fantasy Flight, for inviting the LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs to help give these kids and families a day they will always remember!
On November 29 – 30, LCC Kare 9 Military Ministry Dog Brutus (Squad) was invited to relieve students’ stress as they begin final exams at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. The students were very happy to see Kare 9 Brutus on duty again where he gave and received a whole bunch of love. A highlight for the veteran handlers was meeting an Israeli Military veteran. On Monday, December 4, the LCC K-9 Ministries were invited to attend the Little Company of Mary Hospital’s Heart Connection Christmas Remembrance. LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Eve (St. John’s – Lombard, Illinois), LCC K-9 Comfort Dog-in-Training Mary, and LCC Kare 9 Military Ministry Dogs Brutus (Squad) and Susie (St. Peter – Arlington Heights, Illinois) provided the children and adults with compassion and love as they remembered their loved ones who are no long with them. The LCC K-9s formed an impromptu line as the children met Santa and received gifts.
