![]() Giving Hope and a Future in an Otherwise Hopeless Situation In 2012, LCC President/CEO Tim Hetzner spent a night in a tent city in Port-au-Prince, Haiti with a family of 7 children. Not one of the children had been in school because of their family's living situation and finances. After an LCC appeal, generous donors stepped forward to sponsor these and other children living in the tent city so that they could attend Christian schools. Seven years later, the tent city is still there and LCC is still raising support for the children so that they can continue their education. Please consider sponsoring a child's education for the upcoming school year. Christ working through you to "defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy" (Psalm 72:4). Public and private education in Haiti costs money - there is NO free education. Our Lutheran schools also charge but are less expensive than the public schools. For $40 a month, a child can go to school, receive a daily meal and a uniform. $400 for a school year! Please consider sponsoring a child that they may have hope for their future and learn the wonders of the Lord! "Tell to the children the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done." (Psalm 78:4) Comments are closed.
