The course starts Monday, September 10! Registration is required. No other person has impacted human history like Jesus. No other person has lived like Jesus, made claims like Jesus or performed miracles like Jesus. No other person has been followed in the past or present like Jesus. No other person has been more misunderstood than Jesus! This begs the question, who is Jesus really? Beginning with Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, this course will be an Investigation of Jesus, letting Jesus interpret Himself and scripture. Too often our understanding of Jesus comes from the doctrine and theology that we were taught and Christians, all reading the same Bible, come up with so many differing and conflicting views of Jesus and what the will of God is. So who is Jesus really? This course will....
The instructor is Tim Hetzner, President / CEO of Lutheran Church Charities. Tim has been teaching in-depth Bible Studies for over 35 years. His textbook is the Bible! This course is non-denominational - as Jesus was! This course is open to all people regardless of their faith background, or lack of. It will be taught three times live on Mondays but will also be available on the internet for those registered
As the ministries and services of Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) have expanded, so have the number of events and trainings where we serve food. We recently launched a new Food Service Ministry. This ministry is a supportive service run by volunteers to plan and execute food service for events. With the reorganization of the kitchen, we reviewed our ongoing needs. It was determined that we need an ice machine. We currently purchase anywhere from 2-5 20 lbs. bags of ice for each of our 30-50 events. Due to the increasing number of events at LCC where we serve meals or cold beverages, we are looking for a donation of an under the counter ice machine or an ice machine that stands alone on the floor. If you have or know of a church, school, bar, or other business that would be able to donate an ice machine to LCC, please contact 866-455-6466 or email lcc@lutheranchurchcharities.org
Salam Christian Fellowship Needs Financial Assistance to Help a Candidate at Concordia Seminary5/22/2018
One member of an LCMS church who is impressed by Chris's service and dedication offered to donate $11,000 to the SMP if someone could match her gift. Hopefully, from now until September 2018, we can find gifts to match 1 to 1, or 2 to 1, in smaller gift giving totals that can surpass that.
Please prayerfully consider donating generously to help Salam raise a total of $20,000 for seminary for the first two years. In Christ, Rev. Hesham Shehab Salam Christian Fellowship
