TOGETHER, WE DID IT!
Christ the King (CTK) Lutheran Church and School in Chicago, Illinois, has been a beacon of light in the Bronzeville community since 1949. Over the years, Pastor John Brazeal and Principal Geri Brazeal have poured into the community to share the hope in Jesus Christ and life-changing education for families in this low-income area of Chicago. The school opened in 1973, providing a Christ-centered, family environment that encourages learning, growth, and development for children who face the pressures of living in a low-income, high crime area. The school serves children from 3 years old through 8th grade. It is a way to reach the future generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ, to pave a path for better education, and a way out of poverty. For the past 50 years, Pastor John, Geri, and the staff of CTK have impacted the lives of hundreds of children and their families with the gospel of Christ's love and forgiveness, giving them hope, a purpose, and a future. Christ the King has a long history of teaching children their worth in Jesus and helping them make positive decisions as they face the pressures of the inner-city. The long-time, experienced school teachers and staff are so passionate about offering a well-rounded education that many are working on a volunteer basis to help keep the education cost as low as possible. The church and school leaders do everything possible to trim the cost of school, but families continue to struggle with the rise in the cost of living. Your continued support and generous donations will enable Christ the King to continue the ministry of Christ-changing lives through their dedicated staff and provide hope for the future of their students. Supporting Christ the King is an investment in an incredible ministry where life-changing relationships are established and an incredible education is earned. Christ the King Student StoriesBrooklyn I want to take the time to express my gratitude for the scholarship that was given to my daughter, Brooklyn, for the previous school year. I am writing this letter in hopes of receiving some assistance for this school year. Christ the King Lutheran School is and continues to remain a strong pillar within our neighborhood. Christ the King has provided a solid foundation for so many children over the years, including myself. Being that I had such a great, insightful experience. It is my dream for my daughter to also experience the fantastic teachers and a nurturing environment. Since my daughter has started attending Christ the King, I've witnessed her thrive. She's always excited to go to school to interact with the teachers, as well as with her peers. I've seen so much growth, and I would like for her to continue her education at Christ the King. If given the opportunity to receive a scholarship, it would be a great help as I would be able to afford the tuition. Being able to keep Brooklyn enrolled in Christ the King would mean so much to both Brooklyn and myself. Receiving a scholarship would allow Brooklyn to continue to thrive in such a nurturing environment, learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships, just as I did when I attended the school. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Respectfully, Brionna Kayla I am writing this letter seeking a tuition scholarship for Kayla. She has been attending Christ the King School since August 2022. As of August 21, 2023, Kayla has been enrolled as an eager-to-learn kindergartner. What attracts our family to Christ the King are the low student-teacher ratios, which I believe highly benefits Kayla's student achievement. I am also ecstatic that at the age of 4, Kayla is already developing her relationship with God. Unfortunately, our family has several additional financial obligations and outstanding debts that must be paid over the next 2-3 years. I would love for Kayla to continue her education at Christ the King; however, I am in need of tuition assistance for her to remain enrolled this year. I appreciate your help and understanding in this matter. Sincerely, Dominique Donte My name is Donte, and I am writing this letter to apply for the consideration of tuition assistance. My grandpa was laid off, and my grandmother has been paying all the bills, but we were not able to pay the full amount on our bills. My grandpa being laid off has put a real strain on our budget, making it hard for us to buy groceries and other household essentials. I am asking for assistance with my tuition so some of the burden can be lifted off my grandmother. Any help that can assist me and my family would be very helpful and greatly appreciated Harley My name is Shuntia, and I am writing to you to request financial assistance for my daughter, Harley. I currently don’t have a steady job and am unable to make the tuition payments. My daughter loves going to Christ the King Lutheran School. She enjoys playing with her classmates and building relationships with her teachers. If Harley gets this scholarship, it will help both of us tremendously because she can continue to go to a school that she likes. Harley will build healthy relationships with her teachers and classmates and can continue to learn in an environment that she knows is safe and welcoming. As her mother, I won’t have to worry about her education. I know that she’ll be in good hands learning from all her teachers. Comments are closed.
