Comfort Dog Remembered for His Loving Nature, Community Impact

Jackson, a local comfort dog with Joplin’s Immanuel Lutheran Church and Martin Luther School, had a knack for spreading joy to those around him with his signature grin, and distinctive wag and waddle as he walked across any room.
 
“Jackson was always happy,” said Beth Haubein, one of his handlers and a first-grade teacher at Martin Luther School. “I don’t think that dog ever had a day where he wasn’t happy."
