The Church Admin: Encouragement Leader
Discovering the Powerful Role You Play In Keeping Your Church Together
Presenter: Mark Elfstrand, Ministry Consultant, LCC
As Administrators you know far more about the workings of a church than most realize. Often you must master human relations skills to work with difficult people while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Your ability to master these skills can help increase loyalty and longevity with your team and church members. In this session Mark will lead us through the “art form” that makes it happen. With over 40 years of experience in interviewing and consulting, Mark can help you master asking the right questions, learn why empathy builds relational bonds and how encouragement helps rescue hurting souls.
Mark Elfstrand is a “mixed bag” of experience. He’s worked over 40 years behind a radio microphone, including 14 years at Moody Radio in Chicago. He’s helped create a community prayer breakfast in Pittsburgh and a senior level executive forum in Chicago. He’s served on church boards and currently works (part time) as the Executive Director of Ministry Leadership at a church in Plainfield, Illinois. He also hosts a YouTube program and podcast called, Moving People Forward, (sponsored by Lutheran Church Charities) in his role as ministry consultant. Mark also blogs weekly on workplace related issues with a spiritual perspective.
