KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) - A group of comfort dogs served at the visitation for fallen Racine Police Officer John Hetland Tuesday.

The dogs are part of LCC K-9 Police Ministry, a group of current and former law enforcement officers that provides K-9 visits and general support for department members and their families, according to their social media page.

Concordia University is Wisconsin's First College with an Animal Therapy Program

Concordia University is the first college in Wisconsin to help students get certified in animal-assisted therapy. Abby Foster and Morgan Withey are working on getting their master's degrees in occupational therapy, and they're tacking on the animal therapy certificate program.

"I know the impact the dogs can have, and I wanted to be able to use it in my future practices in OT," said Foster.
