On Sunday, November 4, LCC Kare 9 Military Ministry Dog Luke(Christ the Shepherd – Alpharetta, Georgia) hosted a beautiful appreciation service to thank veterans for their service to our country.
Sergeant Hank Friedman, 97 years old, WW2 veteran, who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, spoke about his capture and imprisonment. Born and raised Jewish, Sargent Hank felt something wasn’t right. He explained how he now accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior. This was the most touching testimony most of us have ever heard. The Jr. ROTC presented the colors and assisted Kare 9 teams with pins for all veterans in attendance.
Area independent living/assisted living facilities attended. Our community was invited and attended. Approximately 100 people enjoyed a luncheon that followed the service.
Thank you to the LCC Kare 9 Military Ministry Teams who attended: Jewel (Christ Our Savior – Loudon, Tennessee), Hope (Faith – Marietta, Georgia), and Lizzie (Trinity – Savannah, Georgia).
