Lutheran Church Charities' Needs |
|
|
LCC is in need of contacts or the items below - if you or someone you know can help us.
15-Passenger Van(s) for K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry
Because of the growth of the LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry and the number of states we are being invited out to, it is no longer economical for us to rent vans when traveling. Since LCC never charges those we serve (like in Newtown), we are looking for a Corporate Sponsor or Sponsors to help us with the purchase or donation cost of Vans. Many weeks we are being asked to be in two different states with our Comfort Dogs. The vans need to hold 6 passengers (K-9 Handlers) and 4-6 Comfort Dogs.
Vehicle Decaling
We are looking for a company or individual that does Vehicle decaling to put the LCC K-9 Branding and LCC Branding on our vehicles.
Pickup Truck Replacement Windows
LCC is need of a place that can replace the back inside window of a small GMC Truck and the back window of the Cab - replace them to have sliding windows with a connector between the two windows.
If you know of anyone please contact Tim Hetzner at 866-455-6466 or email

Bilingual Bibles needed for Outreach to Muslims |
|
|
Request from Pastor Hicham Chehab of Salam Fellowship in Chicago, Illinois
Dear Friends,
In the 1980s, when I was in college, I heard the Word of God from the mouth of a secular professor, and Jesus transformed my life from a member of the Muslim Brotherhood to an evangelist, and used me to plant Salam Christian Fellowship and a student ministry in Chicagoland.
Today, more college students are taking Bibles through our student ministry, especially New Testaments, and copies of bilingual Gospels that are changing their lives. We ask you to prayerfully consider donating towards purchasing more bilingual Gospels.

Tumaini Kristo Needs Your Help |
|
|
Please consider helping with the cost of installing a new storefront for Tumaini Kristo Lutheran Church in Jersey City. Tumaini Kristo is a Kenyan immigrant congregation served by Pastor Haron Orutwa, a bi-vocational Pastor, who works in Jersey City and New York City.
About two years ago the congregation took out a loan to be used to refurbish the storefront of the church. Unfortunately, their general contractor did not fulfill his responsibilities and the immigrant congregation has endured almost two years of frustration and waiting for prayers to be answered.
Tumaini Kristo is known throughout their community as a church that loves others. Both President Tim Hetzner and Rich Martin of LCC have visited the congregation after Superstorm Sandy. While they were there they met with Jersey City Councilperson, Viola Richardson, who is a powerful partner and advocate of their ministry.
For almost two years the front of the church has been boarded up with plywood sheets and there is no church sign on the building. Pastor Orutwa is asking for your support in raising $5,000 to install a permanent storefront. LCC has a volunteer who is willing to donate his time and expertise to deliver and install the new storefront.
Your support would immediately aid a ministry need for a church and their pastor who are working hard with the limited resources that they have to share the Gospel.

Pastor Larry Fraizer Seeks Financial Assistance for Pre-Seminary Student |
|
|
Pastor Larry Frazier of Resurrection Chicago seeks financial assistance for member attending Concordia Ann Arbor in Pre-Seminary Program.
Pastor Larry Frazier has alerted LCC to a serious situation for one of his members who is in the pre-seminary program at Concordia Ann Arbor but has had health difficulties that have put him in financial crisis. Pastor Frazier explains...
Westley Cunningham is a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church on the south side of Chicago. He has been in Lutheran schools since Pre-Kindergarten and is currently going into his junior year at Concordia Ann Arbor. Westley plans to enter pastoral studies. He contracted pneumonia in July and is hoping to continue his studies in January. However, Westley's financial aid is now in jeopardy as a result of his illness and absence from class. He has an outstanding bill of $7,365 and would appreciate any help at this time.
Pastor Larry Frazier
Please consider a gift of any size that might help Westley continue his plans to return to Concordia in January and resume his studies. All donations will be passed 100% dollar for dollar to Resurrection Lutheran Church and on to assist Westley.
